Tips to Pack For Your Breeze Airways Flight
When you pack wisely and tactfully, your journey becomes more seamless. Here are some tips for a seamless experience:
- Checked bags let you pack more, while a carry-on lets you bring only a few items and skip baggage checks.
- Pack personal items like snacks, headphones, and chargers.
- Also pack lithium batteries and portable chargers in your checked bags, not your carry-ons.
- Keep valuables and other important documents in your carry-on, not your checked bag.
Military Baggage Allowance On Breeze Flights
Active military members get two checked bags and one carry-on bag for free. Those traveling on orders get five checked bags and one carry-on bag free.
They do not have to add their bags beforehand. Breeze Airways will handle it at the airport. Active military guests (of the United States)should head to the ticket counter for check-in. They must display their valid military ID (of the US) during check-in at the counter to avail of the free baggage facility. The ID will be verified again at the gate.
The maximum weight and dimensions for checked bags are: 99 lbs and 80 linear inches. They won’t be regarded as oversized or overweight bags. Anything exceeding this won’t be accepted.
Only active military members can get this privilege. The regular bag charges apply to:
- Veterans
- Retired members of the US military
- Spouses (of the active military members)
- Family members (of the active military personnel)
Breeze Airways’ Baggage Policy for Overweight and Oversized Bags
Bags weighing more than 50 lbs are overweight bags. There is a $75 fee (per bag). Bags exceeding 99 lbs are not permitted for carriage.
Bags measuring 63-80 inches (width, length, height, combined) are also charged $75 (each bag).
Bags over 80 inches aren’t allowed at all. If you’re traveling with overweight or oversized baggage (within the limits), arrive at the airport two hours before your flight’s departure time.
Breeze Airways’ Rules for Delayed and Damaged Baggage
The airline does its best to deliver bags intact and on time. However, unavoidable circumstances may occur, so keep this in mind if your bags are damaged or delayed.
If your checked baggage has been damaged:
- Go to an airport team member and share your concern.
- You can claim for damaged bags only within an hour of your flight’s arrival.
- If you cannot find an airport team member, Breeze’s Guest Empowerment team is your next option. You should also reach out to them within an hour of your flight’s arrival.
For delayed checked baggage, the rule is the same as for damaged bags, as mentioned above. Additionally, if you’re traveling with devices to locate your item, like Find My Accessory or AirTag, share that information when you file your claim. The share item location link will be used by the Bag Team to track your luggage. Once reunited with your bags, this link will be disabled. You can stop the link at any time, and it automatically expires within seven days.
Was your scooter or wheelchair damaged during transportation? What should you do?
- Talk to a CRO (Complaint Resolution Officer) the moment you spot the damage.
- Enter your damage claim before you leave the airport. This helps the team member inspect the damage and take photos.
Can You Carry Musical Instruments On Breeze Airways?
They are regarded as fragile items and can be brought in your checked baggage. Small instruments may go in as carry-ons, provided they comply with the size and weight restrictions. Either stow them in the overhead bins or store them in the space under your seat. You might not always get the overhead bin space. That’s available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Big instruments must be checked, and extra fees may apply if they don’t meet the weight and size restrictions.
If you have extra-large instruments that are big enough to be checked, you may buy an extra seat for them. No additional fees apply. Package the instrument well to avoid injuring other guests. The instrument, including the case and container,r mustn’t be more than 11 (linear inches). You must secure your instrument properly with a seatbelt. You may also use a tie-down. This prevents the instrument from moving or shifting during the regular flight or ground movement. You should ensure that the instrument doesn’t come in the way of the guest’s view of the safety signs. It also should not block the guest’s access to the cabin aisle.
The window seat in the non-exit row is the best option to place your instrument. The next alternative is the middle seat.
Breeze Airways’ Rules for Carrying Special Clothing
So, it’s your special day, and you may want to carry your wedding gown or suit onboard without damaging it. Check the rules below:
- Breeze flights don’t have closets for storing garment bags or clothing.
- So, you may carry them as checked or carry-on luggage, but you must comply with the size and weight restrictions.
- Not all fares include free checked or carry-on bags; some fare types charge for them.
- For items too heavy for checked or carry-on bags, it’s better to purchase an extra seat.
- If you’re carrying garment bags, they may count as a cabin or checked bag. Extra fees may apply depending on your fare type.
